26 Weeks

This is what a vacation does to you, right? come back a bit heavier?
I have grown leaps and bounds now and loving that I actually feel and look pregnant.
Brinley is constantly moving. I notice it a lot more after I eat meals. She tries to punch out of both ends.
It's funny to think I just sit and stare at my belly when she dances around....gosh, it will be 10 times worst when I actually see her face. I wont get a single thing done anymore!
I can not wait!
One thing I have notice this week is the pregnancy brain. I will forget things or words so quickly. I try to think really hard and not blame it on the pregnancy but I don't know what else to do.
I felt my first contraction while we were in Hawaii. My stomach got so hard and I felt like I didn't want to walk because it was tight. Haven't felt it since. I did have a tiny bit of bleeding this week so I'm taking it extra easy because my Dr. said if it happens again before my next appt. in a week in a half to call the hospital and head in for evaluation. To me that just means Bed Rest...boo.
Other then that I'm doing great!
Here I am in Maui during our Babymoon!!! We did not want to leave!

100 days to go...

Well, I hate counting down because we all know and have heard that babies will come when they  want to come. Some come really really early and some test their mom's patient  way before they arrive and show up late. So with this post saying I have 100 days left...It's more like I have 100 days left until she is full term and then I will be ready for her arrival.
Being in a swim suit for the past week and not showing off my bare belly people give me these looks....like I'm hope she pregnant because she has a big gut.
Why isn't she going all the way in the spa? maybe she isn't fat but pregnant.
(The best was Joe was showing me the right way to make a basket in the pool basketball...and anytime I jumped I felt like a whale coming back down...hahah) I think I created a lot more waves then he did.

25 Weeks!

Here I am 25 weeks into this pregnancy and enjoying our "Babymoon" in Hawaii.
I feel like I'm hiding a basketball under there. She moves a lot still and enjoys carbs!
I take Tums with me where ever I go and try to drink water more and more. Somehow that was so easy in the beginning but I do love having a slip of soda here and there. I feel bigger,  but I see pictures and don't feel as big as my stomach looks. I love walks and glad I can enjoy that again for now. I try not to put stress on us and keep us health.
I have to say when we flew over here I swear she moved up higher like she knew we were going up in the air. It's an amazing feeling. We just love our little bun in the oven. We are so glad we were able to take this time to run away together and have a good vacation. I can't imagine what vacation will look like bring a baby! whoa!
Here's some 25 weeks facts:
They say my uterus is the size of a soccer ball (I just laugh)
She weighs more then a 1lb and a half.
From head to heel she measures about 13 1/2 inches.
She will now start gaining some baby fat!

24 Weeks

The bump bump is here and I love it. I've been good this week and staying off my feet when possible. I never made it back to a pilates class last week because I was so sore, but I'm going tomorrow morning. It's great to feel good while pregnant.
This week I'm getting my pregnancy dream!
Just a few days ago my husband decided we should just do it and go on a babymoon. He looked into a cruise, because we both just love eating, but all cruises have said no one after their 24th week and well with my condition it can be life threating out on the open seas if I start to bleed. We were so excited to decided on Hawaii. 1st-It has a kaiser so I can drop by any hospital if needs be (my dr. liked that). 2nd- Joe has never been!!! yes, I went 3 times in one year and feel like I know the place (Oahu) pretty well. 3rd- Joe's best friend is studying at BYU-H right now and we would love to see him and others that are there. 4th- Its the same week my cousin is going to be filming in Hawaii Five-O as an extra so we get to spend some time with her and her parents. 5th- My uncle is still a pilot for American Airlines and pretty much last min. trips are great when you have those perks. We are actually going and staying in hotels for pennies. So I've been doing a lot of laundry and packing and can not wait to live in a bathing suit. by the way my friend gave me good advice and I bought the cutest tankini at target a size up and it works great with the bump!!

We are so very excited to go...

ohhh my abs hurt, wait...do I even have abs?

So I went to my pilates classes last nigh and felt great! My teacher showed me all my new pregnancy moves to make it easy on the baby. I felt so great I took the dogs on a walk this morning and well...tonight I'm feeling it in my abs.
I was a little concern with working my abs, but I trust my teach, so I continue (please if any pilate instructor knows any better please tell me).
So tonight I was moving around a lot more (thanks to my ribs placed in the right place) and noticed my abs...well whatever is right below my boobs hurt, like sore hurt. It feels good to feel human. Although I am so shocked that I'm not doing water aerobics because I'm such a water baby.
To be 24+ weeks and feeling great is good.

Jamie- I had to go back to find your posts when you were pregnant with B and read about your placenta experience and bed rest. Man, you are amazing and so uplifting. Thanks for you thoughts and prayers!
Brittany- I don't know where I have this urge to workout..and believe me that I say I just started this whole lets workout thing about a year ago. We will see how long I last now..haha. I hope everything works out with the producer( that would be awesome!) either way I hope you get to come out. still thinking of you and little Declan!!! sending much love and prayers your way!

P.S.
I'm huge! well I'm bigger and gaining some weight :) picture won't come till my week 24 post.

Dr. check up

I dragged Joe to my appointment this morning in hope for all my good thoughts to come true. Well, only one did..I can start slowly doing some exercise again as long as my body can handle it. So I'm starting off with my favorite butt kicker, Pilates tonight.
We will see how I feel about this tomorrow since it's been almost 6 months since I've been back!

Unfortunately, my Dr. showed me their was no change in the location of the placenta. :( not bad, but not good. Still on pelvic rest and hope that I don't have any cramping or bleeding. Nothing I can do about this but take it easy some more. I'll have another ultrasound the beginning of next month but he said the following month, April's appointment will be able to determine if we are planning for a vaginal delivery or schedule C-section (that is to say if I haven't bleed or had any cramping, which then their is no choice including bed rest).  I'm in favor of whatever the Dr. tells me to do. I just want my baby Brynn to be here already. So here's to another month taking it easy.  I'm so grateful Joe and I are in the position in our life to deal with this minor hiccup in our pregnancy. Once again, I'm not worried...just so happy I can look down and see and feel her move all over the place. I'm so lucky and this time last year I would have given anything to be where I'm at now so to that I'm grateful. I another reminder that we plan, but the Lord as a plan for us.

23 Weeks

See post below on my unhappy week of 23..and why I'm smiling so much today!

Things that have been new this past week are: Heartburn (had it twice), moving/dancing girl in my belly, been lifting and doing to much with makes me so happy/nervous to see my dr tomorrow to see if the Placenta Previa has cleared!!!
So tomorrow I'll have another Ultrasound to see where the placenta is at these days. I'm dying to get back to exercising and doing more so lets hope its all good news. Recently I haven't felt the pressure down there I felt earlier last month so my guess is it's moved, plus I'm not running to the bathroom as much, another good sign.
As of this morning I'm feeling GREAT!! love this pregnancy, can't believe how far we have come now.

A little out of place

Oh this week has been a interesting one. I'm sure glad for my husband's sake that it's over. I've been such a Queen Bee the past week (for what I still think is good reason).
The previous Saturday I went into work for what I saw on the books was 1 client. no biggie, right? I slipped on my high heel toms (that are semi comfy, and great height to work in) After I finished my first I saw another client on the books...well this happened the rest of the day and 8 hours later I was completely done. Now, to understand my unusual salon you have to know if I don't have anyone on the books I don't get paid, therefore I don't have to sit there and wait...I always go 7 mins away home and they call me when they book someone. As for someone just starting up a clientele I'm not always in, plus, I work 3 days a week!! The next day I went to a work hair show and walked all around. once again, I'm trying to stay off my feet when needed but this week I think I forgot and didn't listen to dr. orders.
After a few days I realized my back was hurting and I just tried to shrug it off as normal pregnancy back ache. Because, lets face it people...my belly is growing.
I found myself sitting in a massage chair for over an hour (ya not a good thing, it was nice during that time).
The next few days I kept getting pain down my legs and in my upper back. I had shortness of breath as well.  I kind of just thought my pregnancy just took a turn for not so easy anymore.
Finally after another Saturday working with just a few clients I was in so much pain. If I lay still I was okay. The weirdest part was laying on my left side hurt the worst and that side is suppose to be the best for pregnancy so I couldn't understand why I was in pain.
Sunday morning came around I just was wasn't going to get up and go to church. Just laying there still felt so good. I wondered if I should go to the Dr? but then I read online about getting adjusted can really help throughout your pregnancy.
We have a close family friend that is the best Chiropractor ever! With normal patients like you and I to world class sports athletes like Kelly Slater, P.J Benn. Here's a link to their website Natural Health Sports Therapy. So I called him up and he said I could come over.
I was telling Joe on the way I have never see a Chiropractor and was curious what he could even do and how hard would it be because I'm pregnant.
He had me lay on my right side so he could work out the spot on my left. It just felt like a nice massage. Then he cracked my back and I heard all of the cracking I knew I wasn't going crazy and something had been wrong. He said I had some ribs, yes my ribs, out of place that were causing the pain and shortness of breath.
I felt 100 times better!!! After a good night sleep I am just happy as a clam!!
Joe even said this morning if this is how happy I am after getting adjusted I can get adjusted everyday!!!! So glad he understands I'll be wanting more of these :)

So moral of the story is: go get adjusted during pregnancy it will feel amazing on that growing stretching body of yours!

22 Weeks and loving it!

Okay, I'm really starting to show now and I love it. She moves around everyday and I feel pretty great. This picture was taken before my work day today. I went in with one client on the books and thought no big deal...well 8 hours later I got fully booked and my poor body was being put to the test. I can't wait to start exercising again. Hopefully just a week and a few days before I see my Dr. again and I'm thinking we will hear good news! I hope! One thing I noticed this week is my boobs are coming back! yep, back....when I was 19 I got a reduction but before that I had nicknames of Mt. Everest, Boobrey, you name it. So I'm feeling the boobs coming back...hopefully they won't stay this way forever and hopefully our little Brinley doesn't get my genes.

Champ wanted to get in the picture too, so I tried to get him kissing my belly. This was the best we could do. He is going to be so good with her...He may like her to much but she will get use to it. They will have a special bond....she'll throw her food around and he'll eat it up and she will laugh and do it again. They will take naps together and he will protect her I know. He is such a good dog, and will be her puppy forever! I may have to teach champ not to eat her toys (meaning stuff animals). She will squeeze him, like her mommy does and he will love being loved. They will probably gang up on me and I'll pretend that's not okay, but inside it will melt my heart! Thank Heavens for little girls and their pups!

Grandma Loves Brinley

Yesterday after lunch with my mom and dad my mom insisted we stop by a baby store. I say no, but she continued anyways. When she held up an outfit and said do you like this? or this is a great price...the bag got fuller and fuller. Yes I put in some of my favorites, but she was so thrilled to teach me how much a baby needs. In the end....Brinley has more clothes then Joe and I.

Yes, she really bought this and we don' laugh because it's sooo true!

This one is for my sister for when she is watching her around BYU campus.
fine print reads (contact info available upon request)

Next week I hope to work on a dresser my aunt hand and then my mom has used and I'm going to change it all up for my little girl!
*not pictured is a lot of $$$ worth of flannel to make a ton of receiving blankets. I'm sure it's a lot cheaper and easier to buy, but we can't help it....we love sewing!!

So Cal Center for Reproductive Medicine

I wanted to take a minute and post on the blogging world my experience with my fertility clinic, because lets be honest...this could have been a really hard decision that I had to make it if had not been for 2 previous clients that were friends of mine that don't even know each other that both went on and on about this place. Not just Dr. Anderson, but the fantastic nurses and the amazing receptionist that make you feel so at ease.  It's a relationship you build that you don't know how you can ever repay.

If you ever are in that situation where you think you need further medical assistant to getting pregnant it's so nice to talk to a Dr. that specialize in these treatments. I only say this because I felt like talking with 2 different ob/gyn I had felt like talk to a wall. I still will never forget that first consultation with Dr. Anderson and he sat down with us in his office for an hour to discuses our history and concerns. I loved that he took it all in and said okay well we are going to do all we can to get you pregnant. Within a month and a half I finished the test I needed to do and I was pregnant. Not all treatments happen this quickly and if you go back to the start of my blog you can read day by day almost what really went on, but I felt so taken care of. Even when I got pregnant and had low numbers he made me come in every other day to do blood test to monitor my levels. I was so impressed with how much knowledge he had.

I highly recommend seeing Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine.

WEEK 21and going strong

Week 21...and time is flying now and baby is growing !
I can feel her everyday move around and it's so fun! Some days I'm up at 7 and others (like today) I sleep into 9:30 (with a morning bathroom break).  I'm still taking it easy like my dr. wants me to in hopes that in a few weeks we will see the placenta high up that I can start exercising again!
The newest thing this week has been back pains. I try to take a bath every morning and night, it helps sooo much. I don't mind any pain she gives me because I'm sooo grateful for her. Like I said last time we picked out a name and telling people. Everyone has been so sweet, I haven't had to deal with others people opinion, or if they have tried to tell me anything it doesn't bother me.
I'm starting to sew a lot more stuff and getting so excited.

Bonding time

Me and this little girl are doing a lot of bonding already. She kicks me and I shake her to wake her up to kick for dad. I have to say I'm still getting use to this whole I am really pregnant and I am having a girl thing. don't get me wrong....I am beyond excited and blessed that I could cry, just can't believe it's really our turn.
1. A picture a weekly update will come tomorrow because Joe took the camera today on his hike and well I never had him take the belly shot.

This week I went to a friends baby shower. Probably the 2nd one I've been to in years and the 1st girl baby shower in a long long time. Let me tell you, it got me really excited to have this little girl and yes, they have the cutest little girl things. I can not wait.
Great story: my client today is due the same day I am (June 2) and I first started doing her hair when we were both just 4-5 weeks along. I would hear about her 2nd pregnancy but didn't tell her about mine until last time! This time we both knew we were having GIRLS. She was telling me she's been out shopping getting all type of girly things. I talked to her about not naming her until she got her (mostly in fear of I always seem to change my mind and I'm scared if I think about it to long I will change my mind). I realized through something she said that it will help make this all more real if I name her now. I first thought I can't even make up my mind and now Joe and I are going to have to agree on a forever name!! oh my...seem so weird!

We were driving to a church meeting tonight when I brought it up....("honey, I think we should pick out a name") He said a few funny ones and then some he knew I didn't like. Then one just stuck, I had also remember it was a name I wrote in my journal (which means it's so meant to be...hahah) but we both really liked it! Within a few second we decided on a middle name too. and well, that was it! At least for now...I'll be surprise if we change it at birth but then again I'll be surprise if we don't.  So to make this all more real for us we are calling her possibly naming her Brinley Kay.  I like Brynn for short :) you always have to have your nickname plan too.

Baby Bargains Book

Best Baby Book (well only baby book I've read) so far.....

also their website here

My dear friend Ashlee recommended this book and I thought I would try it out. So for Christmas my inlaws got it for me and I don't think I put it down much on Christmas day. I was hooked on ways to save money and being a 1st time mom knowing what I really need and what you don't.
I want my little girl to have the least possible stuff. Sounds kind of lame but it's true! This is written every few years by parents who don't take money from baby products to get their stuff a high rating or anything. It's just the flat out truth about every baby product you can imagine!
The book is really huge!
and has sooo much info I am LOVING!!
Go to Amazon.com and you can get it for cheap and enjoy all the great finds too!
P.S. Baby Girl is kicking away :) I love her!

19 Weeks

How far along? 19 Weeks and 3 Days
Maternity clothes? Just the pants, shirts are still to loose on me.
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: sleeping in more, so I'm probably not sleeping that well.
Best moment this week: Having Joe seeing her kick out my stomach
Miss anything? I'm on the pelvic rest again (no exercising, no sex, no heavy lifting)
Movement: I can feel her most of the time swimming around.
Food craving: nope
Anything making you queasy or sick? no
Have you started to show yet: People still make comments I'm not even showing....they are just being nice. I can see and feel my belly grow!
Gender: Still a GIRL

Happy or moody most of the time? tired again, and every time I get up I have to go pee again. I think this has to do with placenta plevia. more pressure down there.
Looking forward to: Starting to put together a nursery online. We will be moving almost a month before she is born and need that month to just set it all up and have everything already planned out. I'm in love with the new fabric I have picked out and my mom is on it to making her quilt. I finished a hospital gown too. I'm so glad I love sewing.

Placenta Previa

I got a call this morning from my Dr.
I was informed that he got the results back from my diagnostic test and baby girl is looking great and measuring perfectly...
except for one thing about me.
Her placenta is very close to my cervix for the week (19) that I am.
Usually during the first trimester it's not a problem but the further I get the more risk I put on the baby.
There are different forms of Previa:
Mine is the lesser of the 3 called: Marginal
Any placenta previa happens in 1 out of 200 pregnancies.

The Treatment at this time is pelvic rest and taking it easy. If I have any bleeding I could risk going into pre-mature labor.

Even though I had no symptoms (bleeding, or cramping), I have noticed pressure that is caused from the lower placenta.
I'm not worried about this at all, just have to take it a bit easier now.
Sooooo grateful for this pregnancy and looking forward to meeting our sweet little miracle!

Diagnostic test

I have such an interesting story here I must blog about for my own remembrance.
I made this app. about a month ago to find out the gender and do the diagnostic test all at the hospital. I scheduled it for 9:30 am.
This is the only ultrasound I have been told to come with a full bladder. I was seeing my dr. the day before this and he told me to wait until I was checked in before I really started drinking my water because sometimes it can be a wait. So with that said I expected a longer wait then usual.
Joe came with me and we were there 15mins before our app. and checked in on the first floor. They then sent us up to floor 2 room 215, which was just a big waiting area with no one but us in it. We saw some patients come and go as nurses and dr. came out of the door and called there name.
After see a number of people come in and out I asked the nurse to confirm I was in the right place of the hospital. She said I was right where I needed to be, so I waited again for my name to be called. I started drinking more and more water hoping my name would be call soon. After a good hour now I sent Joe to ask questions on the floor outside our room. He came back and reassured me that this was the right place and it takes a while.
Well we were stupid to wait another 45mins before sending Joe down stairs to the first place we checked in and came back to tell me that they never checked me in. So my name was never called! They told me they would get me in before noon and told me I could use the bathroom since I had been holding it FOREVER!
Everything ended up fine after that and we got our ultrasound and measurements of our little girl.
And results are in of the diagnostic test...
