22 Weeks and loving it!

Okay, I'm really starting to show now and I love it. She moves around everyday and I feel pretty great. This picture was taken before my work day today. I went in with one client on the books and thought no big deal...well 8 hours later I got fully booked and my poor body was being put to the test. I can't wait to start exercising again. Hopefully just a week and a few days before I see my Dr. again and I'm thinking we will hear good news! I hope! One thing I noticed this week is my boobs are coming back! yep, back....when I was 19 I got a reduction but before that I had nicknames of Mt. Everest, Boobrey, you name it. So I'm feeling the boobs coming back...hopefully they won't stay this way forever and hopefully our little Brinley doesn't get my genes.

Champ wanted to get in the picture too, so I tried to get him kissing my belly. This was the best we could do. He is going to be so good with her...He may like her to much but she will get use to it. They will have a special bond....she'll throw her food around and he'll eat it up and she will laugh and do it again. They will take naps together and he will protect her I know. He is such a good dog, and will be her puppy forever! I may have to teach champ not to eat her toys (meaning stuff animals). She will squeeze him, like her mommy does and he will love being loved. They will probably gang up on me and I'll pretend that's not okay, but inside it will melt my heart! Thank Heavens for little girls and their pups!

Grandma Loves Brinley

Yesterday after lunch with my mom and dad my mom insisted we stop by a baby store. I say no, but she continued anyways. When she held up an outfit and said do you like this? or this is a great price...the bag got fuller and fuller. Yes I put in some of my favorites, but she was so thrilled to teach me how much a baby needs. In the end....Brinley has more clothes then Joe and I.

Yes, she really bought this and we don' laugh because it's sooo true!

This one is for my sister for when she is watching her around BYU campus.
fine print reads (contact info available upon request)

Next week I hope to work on a dresser my aunt hand and then my mom has used and I'm going to change it all up for my little girl!
*not pictured is a lot of $$$ worth of flannel to make a ton of receiving blankets. I'm sure it's a lot cheaper and easier to buy, but we can't help it....we love sewing!!

So Cal Center for Reproductive Medicine

I wanted to take a minute and post on the blogging world my experience with my fertility clinic, because lets be honest...this could have been a really hard decision that I had to make it if had not been for 2 previous clients that were friends of mine that don't even know each other that both went on and on about this place. Not just Dr. Anderson, but the fantastic nurses and the amazing receptionist that make you feel so at ease.  It's a relationship you build that you don't know how you can ever repay.

If you ever are in that situation where you think you need further medical assistant to getting pregnant it's so nice to talk to a Dr. that specialize in these treatments. I only say this because I felt like talking with 2 different ob/gyn I had felt like talk to a wall. I still will never forget that first consultation with Dr. Anderson and he sat down with us in his office for an hour to discuses our history and concerns. I loved that he took it all in and said okay well we are going to do all we can to get you pregnant. Within a month and a half I finished the test I needed to do and I was pregnant. Not all treatments happen this quickly and if you go back to the start of my blog you can read day by day almost what really went on, but I felt so taken care of. Even when I got pregnant and had low numbers he made me come in every other day to do blood test to monitor my levels. I was so impressed with how much knowledge he had.

I highly recommend seeing Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine.

WEEK 21and going strong

Week 21...and time is flying now and baby is growing !
I can feel her everyday move around and it's so fun! Some days I'm up at 7 and others (like today) I sleep into 9:30 (with a morning bathroom break).  I'm still taking it easy like my dr. wants me to in hopes that in a few weeks we will see the placenta high up that I can start exercising again!
The newest thing this week has been back pains. I try to take a bath every morning and night, it helps sooo much. I don't mind any pain she gives me because I'm sooo grateful for her. Like I said last time we picked out a name and telling people. Everyone has been so sweet, I haven't had to deal with others people opinion, or if they have tried to tell me anything it doesn't bother me.
I'm starting to sew a lot more stuff and getting so excited.

Bonding time

Me and this little girl are doing a lot of bonding already. She kicks me and I shake her to wake her up to kick for dad. I have to say I'm still getting use to this whole I am really pregnant and I am having a girl thing. don't get me wrong....I am beyond excited and blessed that I could cry, just can't believe it's really our turn.
1. A picture a weekly update will come tomorrow because Joe took the camera today on his hike and well I never had him take the belly shot.

This week I went to a friends baby shower. Probably the 2nd one I've been to in years and the 1st girl baby shower in a long long time. Let me tell you, it got me really excited to have this little girl and yes, they have the cutest little girl things. I can not wait.
Great story: my client today is due the same day I am (June 2) and I first started doing her hair when we were both just 4-5 weeks along. I would hear about her 2nd pregnancy but didn't tell her about mine until last time! This time we both knew we were having GIRLS. She was telling me she's been out shopping getting all type of girly things. I talked to her about not naming her until she got her (mostly in fear of I always seem to change my mind and I'm scared if I think about it to long I will change my mind). I realized through something she said that it will help make this all more real if I name her now. I first thought I can't even make up my mind and now Joe and I are going to have to agree on a forever name!! oh my...seem so weird!

We were driving to a church meeting tonight when I brought it up....("honey, I think we should pick out a name") He said a few funny ones and then some he knew I didn't like. Then one just stuck, I had also remember it was a name I wrote in my journal (which means it's so meant to be...hahah) but we both really liked it! Within a few second we decided on a middle name too. and well, that was it! At least for now...I'll be surprise if we change it at birth but then again I'll be surprise if we don't.  So to make this all more real for us we are calling her possibly naming her Brinley Kay.  I like Brynn for short :) you always have to have your nickname plan too.

Baby Bargains Book

Best Baby Book (well only baby book I've read) so far.....

also their website here

My dear friend Ashlee recommended this book and I thought I would try it out. So for Christmas my inlaws got it for me and I don't think I put it down much on Christmas day. I was hooked on ways to save money and being a 1st time mom knowing what I really need and what you don't.
I want my little girl to have the least possible stuff. Sounds kind of lame but it's true! This is written every few years by parents who don't take money from baby products to get their stuff a high rating or anything. It's just the flat out truth about every baby product you can imagine!
The book is really huge!
and has sooo much info I am LOVING!!
Go to Amazon.com and you can get it for cheap and enjoy all the great finds too!
P.S. Baby Girl is kicking away :) I love her!

19 Weeks

How far along? 19 Weeks and 3 Days
Maternity clothes? Just the pants, shirts are still to loose on me.
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: sleeping in more, so I'm probably not sleeping that well.
Best moment this week: Having Joe seeing her kick out my stomach
Miss anything? I'm on the pelvic rest again (no exercising, no sex, no heavy lifting)
Movement: I can feel her most of the time swimming around.
Food craving: nope
Anything making you queasy or sick? no
Have you started to show yet: People still make comments I'm not even showing....they are just being nice. I can see and feel my belly grow!
Gender: Still a GIRL

Happy or moody most of the time? tired again, and every time I get up I have to go pee again. I think this has to do with placenta plevia. more pressure down there.
Looking forward to: Starting to put together a nursery online. We will be moving almost a month before she is born and need that month to just set it all up and have everything already planned out. I'm in love with the new fabric I have picked out and my mom is on it to making her quilt. I finished a hospital gown too. I'm so glad I love sewing.

Placenta Previa

I got a call this morning from my Dr.
I was informed that he got the results back from my diagnostic test and baby girl is looking great and measuring perfectly...
except for one thing about me.
Her placenta is very close to my cervix for the week (19) that I am.
Usually during the first trimester it's not a problem but the further I get the more risk I put on the baby.
There are different forms of Previa:
Mine is the lesser of the 3 called: Marginal
Any placenta previa happens in 1 out of 200 pregnancies.

The Treatment at this time is pelvic rest and taking it easy. If I have any bleeding I could risk going into pre-mature labor.

Even though I had no symptoms (bleeding, or cramping), I have noticed pressure that is caused from the lower placenta.
I'm not worried about this at all, just have to take it a bit easier now.
Sooooo grateful for this pregnancy and looking forward to meeting our sweet little miracle!

Diagnostic test

I have such an interesting story here I must blog about for my own remembrance.
I made this app. about a month ago to find out the gender and do the diagnostic test all at the hospital. I scheduled it for 9:30 am.
This is the only ultrasound I have been told to come with a full bladder. I was seeing my dr. the day before this and he told me to wait until I was checked in before I really started drinking my water because sometimes it can be a wait. So with that said I expected a longer wait then usual.
Joe came with me and we were there 15mins before our app. and checked in on the first floor. They then sent us up to floor 2 room 215, which was just a big waiting area with no one but us in it. We saw some patients come and go as nurses and dr. came out of the door and called there name.
After see a number of people come in and out I asked the nurse to confirm I was in the right place of the hospital. She said I was right where I needed to be, so I waited again for my name to be called. I started drinking more and more water hoping my name would be call soon. After a good hour now I sent Joe to ask questions on the floor outside our room. He came back and reassured me that this was the right place and it takes a while.
Well we were stupid to wait another 45mins before sending Joe down stairs to the first place we checked in and came back to tell me that they never checked me in. So my name was never called! They told me they would get me in before noon and told me I could use the bathroom since I had been holding it FOREVER!
Everything ended up fine after that and we got our ultrasound and measurements of our little girl.
And results are in of the diagnostic test...

I woke up one day...

and I felt like I have a belly and can see the baby kick!
I was just showing Joe as I was lying on my bed and he saw one good one. I don't know when this started...With all of Christmas and New Years and Anniversary and trip.

Well, we had the worst experience today at the hospital. Only fault to blame is a receptionist.  We went in for the diagnostic test and gender prediction and checked in and went up 2 floors in the waiting room. After 45 mins of waiting I asked a nursed if what the receptionist wrote on my paper to what waiting room to go to was right? She confirmed I was in the right area and it was pretty busy and just wait. After 1 hour and 30 mins I sent Joe to ask questions. He came back with the same answer, we were in the right area. Finally after almost 2 hours Joe went back down stairs and the looked it up and didn't see that I was checked in, so the nurses up in the waiting room never thought I was there! UGH! It was also the test where they want you to come in with a full bladder. They felt so bad for me that they told me to empty it  (because they still had one patient in front of me). I was more then happy to do that and start drinking more water again.
So, our 9:30am app. became 11:45!
We did get to see baby girl moving all around and yawning. It was just amazing, and now being able to see and feel her move makes it so real!!
Due to my mom encouraging me I have started picking out colors for a nursery (that I don't even have yet).
We are both really into sewing (she like to do more of the quilts and I like more of the other stuff, simple quilts I can do though) So we were at the quilt shop yesterday and I wanted to start a project that is useless but fun for me...a maternity hospital gown to wear after I have the baby. I just have a few more ties on the back, but I'm pretty happy with it. My mom got fabric I we both liked for the baby's room, but after tonight I feel like it's not what I like anymore (good think my mom knows I change my mind often..we only bought a yard).

Just in case you were interest what fabric we picked it was this one! I thought I loved the golden but I don't anymore. still way cute fabric just not what I want anymore.
